??? Hi i was just wondering if anyone can help. This is my dilema. I'm about done with a feature I'm working on. I'm using the DVX100 and editing in FCP. My final output will be DVD and hopefully film. I'm shooting at 24PA. Now what I would like to do is: Use FCP to edit the film, then use Magic Bullet to add effects in After Effects. I don't have the Magic Bullet Editors for FCP so I'll need to go into AE. I'm a bit confused on the process. Once i finish the FCP edit, do i; import the sequence into AE apply the effects, then exported (don't have automatic duck either) as a quicktime, then open it in FCP to export into compressor for DVD output? ???
Does that make any sense at all? or is there an easier way of doing of this? the film is about 103mins long so i'm looking at huge rendering times... any suggestion are welcome.

Here's what I'd do...

Export from FCP as Quicktime Movie - Current Settings - Non-selfcontained.

Import into AE and make sure your frame rates are correct. Do all your post there and send it to the render queue for out as DV/NTSC Quicktime - again, make sure your frame rates are correct.

Take that file and drop it into compressor for compression to mpeg2.

Good luck,
