FCP adding frames in Log & Capture

I'm having problems entering timecode in Log & Capture. If I have a tape loaded into my deck or camera (miniDV or DVCAM) and I try to set an IN point in Log & Capture, FCP is automatically adding two frames to the timecode. For example, if I try to enter 00:10:00;00 then FCP will change it to 00:10:00;02. This problem happens only when a tape is loaded in the deck or camera. Very odd.

I tried to create a log of correct IN/OUT points without the deck connected, but when I connected and did a batch capture, all of the resulting clips had IN/OUT points that were off by two or more frames.

This problem is really annoying and I have no idea how to resolve it. I've successfully captured before and then the problem seemed to start out of the blue and occurs with any of my cameras and decks connected, on any of my Macs, and in both FCP 3 and FCP 4. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

In your preferences you might be adding handles to captured media. Might want to check that out.

I noticed the same thing...I just started adding an extra second to my capture.
