FCP 7 please help ASAP!

Hey guys I have installed FCP 7 successfully on my iMac but when I open the application the box comes up and goes through those first couple of seconds loading but then crashed (FCP 7 doesn't open at all). It is killing me as I need to use it for an edit tonight.

NOTE: I have Final Cut X installed as well.
Also...I used to have FCP7 a while ago but unistalled it so I could run FCP 6 (as this is the same version we had on our Film School computers). I have since unistalled FCP 6.

What to do? Has anyone had this problem?

trash preference files, if that doesn't work re-install. For safe measures I renamed FCP X something different after installing.

I think i got most of the pref files...but could you please tell me exactly which ones? it is still not working.

Also to change the name of FCP X do i just change it in "Applications"?

you can't have fcp-x and fcp 7 in your applications folder. for best practices running both systems, leave fcp7 in the top level of your applications folder and move fcp-x into a sub folder
