FCP 7/AJA Kona 3 Playback Issues

I've got the fastest mac on the face of the earth and it's stuttering. Previously updating to 10.6 I had no problems in 10.5 running the same version of FCP. Now I'm getting freezing playback, dropped frames, and stutters like crazy. Nothing has changed but a clean OS 10.6 install. Anyone else experiencing these problems?

Do you have the latest drivers from AJA? And you said you did a CLEAN install? Meaning wiping the drive clean, and installing the OS fresh, and all the apps and drivers fresh, right?

Yes, new drivers and clean install. I used the utility AJA has and played back footage fine but when in FCP they stutter.
