I had a project professionally color timed at a post house but they did it with fcp6.
Now when I want to access that file in my fcp 5 it is impossible. At the moment I can't afford the upgrade.
If I find someone with fcp6 and take my drive to them and we output a quicktime movie of the colour-timed sequence can I then import that into my fcp5 for making tapes and exporting to dvd pro to make further dvds.
Or is it just easier to make a disk image copy in toast and make copies from there. Will there be much less quality doing it that way than using the original sequence (via quicktime movie) and dvd pro?
