fcp 5.1.1. won't open, need help quick!!!

I was editing on a project early this morning in FCP 5.1 and was having no problems whatsoever. This afternoon I tried to open up FCP and it seemed to be getting hung up when it was loading all the settings and would never completely open up. I upgraded to FCP 5.1.1, but I still can't open up FCP. Can someone pleae help, I have a project due out today!!!

FCP 5.1.1
Dual 1.8 G5
2.5 GB Memory
 
Delete prefs.

If you are really in a hurry, do a search as tons of people have this problem every so often.
