I was able to pick up an unopened box for $85.00 including shipping on ebay. Will FCP 2 be able to play 24p and will it be alright to due a complete movie? Are there alot of drops and is it easy to upgrade to FCP 3 or even FCP 4 by having FCP 2 first?

If you shoot with the F5 preset on your camera then you won't have to do anything. Just capture your footage like normal DV footage and edit away.

FCP2 will not remove 'pulldown' from footage shot with the F6 preset though. In order to do this you will need to upgrade to FCP4

Thanks!!! I wil shoot with F5. Is that the dial by the battery? Is that the only thing I have to worry when shooting iwth my DVX?
