Hey guys, just would like to know the exact FCP 16:9 compression setting for the web. i shot a video (4:3) using the dvx100b. thanks in advance.

Not sure your question makes sense. Do you mean a default quicktime setting for output? I never really use the defaults. When I output for the web, this is what I generally do. I output from FCP with Quicktime Conversion, MPEG-4 codec, data rate 1000kbps, frame rate CURRENT, keyframe every 30 (or 24 if my sequence is 24p), size 470x350 (for 4:3) or 470x260 (for 16:9). Quality high (around 75 percent). Audio AAC, 32khz, 128kbps. This is about the best trade off for quality, render speed and file size I've come up with. You can also use the same settings and use the H.264 codec, but it takes about 4 times longer to render, and i've found some people with slower machines can't read it. If your video looks a little too chunky up the data rate in 100kbps increments until it is looking right, but this will increase your file size.
