FCE 3.5 Anamorphic Lense Conversion Project Settings

Using the 16:9 anamorphic conversion lense on the DVX100B, what FCE setting should be used for output to DVD (if the intended output even matters)? Under the Easy Setup menu there are four options that pertain to the word anamorphic (DV-NTSC) in this order:

1. DV-NTSC 32 kHz Anamorphic
2. DV-NTSC 32 kHz Anamorphic Basic
3. DV-NTSC Anamorphic
4. DV-NTSC Anamorphic Basic

What's the difference? Which should I use? Will the image show up squeezed if viewed on a regular 4:3 TV or will it automatically letter box?
 
That would most likely be DV-NTSC Anamorphic. The 32Khz are for lower quality audio which you don't want. And the Basic is for Firewire devices not fully supported by FCP of which the DVX100 is well supported.

FCP 3.5 is quite outdated in terms of features though. I cannot recommend updating to the latest version enough.

Oops- my mistake I thought you meant Final Cut Pro. For Final Cut Express you're good to go.
