I make small 3-5 minute movies in FC Studio. I am self taught and learning as I go. Mostly taking classes at Lynda.com. I export to compressor burn a copy on DVD and than upload to Vimeo to share with friends and family. My latest effort exported into Compressor and gave me an error code in the batch monitor. Not sure what the error was. It still compressed for vimeo and after it loaded on vimeo it played my clips with out the music trax and was not in the order I edited it in in the timeline. I tried to redo compressor a few times and nothing changed.
So the next thing I tried was to make a new timeline with a shortened version of the same small movie. Everything went back to normal and after uploading to Vimeo the clips were there with the music. Very weird though it added a live type font from the previous movie timeline. That I did not add to the second movie timeline.
Spoke with a guy at Apple (not real friendly) and he shot me an email telling me how to uninstall compressor and reinstall FCS. After a lot of effort I got FCS reinstalled and also downloaded updates. Well that did nothing and now my FCS is acting funny. It won't open properly and shuts itself down.
I am looking for any helpful advice that I can get. Please keep in mind that I am about a year into the editing/outputting field so be gentle.
