This is the lens I use most frequently on my LEX at the moment and I'm pretty happy with the results.

I have never heard the term middle format, I am assuming you are talking about medium format.

Wouldn't that mean that lenses that are made for full frame cameras but mounted on cropped sensors would let in more light than what the f stop on the lens states?
 
Yeah, middle format is a more german term, medium format - right.

I was shoked how much more light comes in compared to the f stop numbers. Those vintage (60s/70s) Zeiss lenses are not only wonderfull made but you only use the absolute sweet spot of the glass. And they give a very special organic look.

nikon 12-24 use it everyday
nikon 14-24 sharpest glass ever, this is a beautiful thing and should be for $1800
nikon 105mm 1.4
nikon 50mm 1.4 and 1.8 many believe 1.8 is sharper so we use both
nikon 70 - 300
nikon 80 - 200
 
Canon 85mm F1.2 L. So sharp wide open its sick.....
24-105 F4 L IS USM Great walk around lens, good range, and the IS makes up for the Slow speed.

80-200 2.8 IS L USM just Sex..............

50mm F1.4 USM. ( great inexpensive lens.... @ 3200 ISO its like night vision)
