Dude, Go to the doctor and get a check up. You comedy impaired.

I'll give you my female line up of 3.

1. Sarah Silverman
2. Ellen, I can't believe I forgot her
3. LL, Yeah Son.

But you probably have Margaret Cho at the top of your list don't you.

Poor guy. I hear they have a name for that condition you have.

It's called wild-air-up-ur-as-is.

And as you know it can be fatal so cut it before you have stroke or something.

Just get some tweezers and pull it out.

You'l feel better trust me.

Now if your not talking standup the you have Amy Polar, Rachel Grets, Mia Rudolph, Moniq, Tina Fah, Can't remember her name but the SPARTAN CHEER LEADER on S&L, almost the entire female MAD TV team.

I can go on and on.

But if we're talking stand up.

1.S Silverman
2.Ellen
3.LL, Yeah son

I suppose it depends on the setting and the material. As far as stand up goes, there are few I really enjoy regularly. One that will always stand out in my mind, is Judy Tenuda. Freaky, slightly psychotic, NOT run of the mill. One of my favorite male comedians is the Amazing Jonathon. I'd give anything to see those two together.

I am speaking of stand up comedians, because your right setting and a number of other factor come into play otherwise.

Do you have a link to these 2 comedians. I would like to check them out.

OMG I got some good ones! Carol Burnett! Yes! Old school. She's always on point. Ellen is the first female comedian I really thought was funny, Love Tendua though, Wanda Sykes is funny if when she can keep it clean (I'm not impressed with all the cursing perfectly funny comics feel they have to use now days), but my favs are easily Tracy Ullman and if you haven't seen Katherine Tate you haven't seen funny:

This babe rocks.

That's what I'm talking about when I say setting. It is her characters she portrays that are hilarious, just like Tracy Ullman. I haven't seen either of them do stand up though. As far as personal views, Erma bombeck is hilarious and Bill Cosby too, and they keep it clean.

I've yet to see a female standup act that made me laugh even a tenth of what a funny male act could do.

I mean, if were talking comedy in general, sure, women can be funny.

SNL is a great example. Plenty of talented of women have worked there over 30 odd years.

Here is a little retrospective: http://youtube.com/watch?v=6-9CAaWia10

But even then, men are always, 99% of the time, funnier.

IMO, Chris Farley was more funny in a few short minutes than the collective female cast was in over 30 years. http://www.evtv1.com/player.aspx?itemnum=1422

I'm not trying to be sexist or anything, but men are just funnier. Maybe it's in the genes. I don't know.

I mean, I love Sarah Silverman too. I sometimes like Ellen, LL is pretty good.

I think alot of the guys are citing LL on here is becuase she's just like a man. Women comics tend to be, expectedly, feminin. LL, if you've ever seen her perform, is just one of the guys. And I'm not simply talking about profanity here.

Maybe it's just me. :undecided
