Faux Film Festival

Many of you have done goofy spoof films so I wanted to make sure you know about the FAUX FILM FESTIVAL. It specializes in:

Faux Trailers
Faux Commercials
Spoofs
Mocumentaries
any other faux films

I believe it's the only festival of its kind in the world, held annually over April Fools weekend in Portland, Oregon at the historic Hollwood Theatre. Submissions are now open.

See http://www.fauxfilm.com for details.

Thanks for the link! My new film is a spoof of 1950's B-movies called "The Monster of Phantom Lake" which fits this particular festival like a well-worn pair of shoes. I'll be submitting it very soon.

I've got two DVX-100 shorts that would be perfect for this fest. I love Portland, too, so maybe I'll make the trip if one of them gets accepted.

I wish film festivals didn't charge. lol Although it's not much at all, There'd be so much more of a turnout if it were free :(

TromaDance doesn't charge submission fees or admission to the screenings. There are several other fests that do the same thing, but TromaDance is definitely the biggest and most well-known.

I might have to shoot a few of the fake commercials that I've had written for a couple years. They would be perfect for this fest.

Which ones would you submit, Chris?

I plan to submit The Dubya (fake infomercial) and Prequel Apology Syndrome (fake public service announcement), both of which were shot on the DVX-100.

I just got my copy of a spec Tylenol commercial that I acted in this past Spring, and it's awesome! (It was also shot on a DVX-100.) I'm talking to the Director about adding credits to the end and submitting to this fest.
