alot of us are proud daddies, and i felt like yakking about what we got for fathers day.. for those who are not dads.. what did you give.

ill start.

we gave our fathers a massage-dinner- and some sort of grill or something..

my wife bought me(well actually ..she let let me buy it , cause she doesnt know whats what in the tech world:) ) a new dual layer all format DVD burner. i think my mother got me another bottle of vitamins or something.. not sure yet.

My wife hooked up with the DVD Universal Horror Collection (Wolfman, Frankenstien and Dracula).  The Discs are loaded with 3 or 4 extra films, documentaries and other goodies.

They are presented 1:33 but were shot that way originally (Academy Aspect Ratio?)

Also got 2 new pairs of basketball shorts and a nice picture frame with my wife and son in it.

Not bad considering the Card companies created this day.

I got my dad NOTHING! We are enstranged. (Thanks for sharing?)

finally scored a dremel.
Gonna get some work around the house done with that badboy.

I requested tools for every gift many years ago. Can't have too many.
Then I can get my own toys. :)

got a watch...so I'm never late again ;)

got a DVX100A...well, at least permission to get one. Putting the finishing touches on the business plan, then it's a phone call to EVS.

Also had a T-Bone steak, corn on the cob, & shrimp...mmmmmmmmm

I'm usually veggie too, unless it's an occasion and I want to let loose...

Father's Day was actually created by a lady in Washington State who was inspired by a man who was a Civil War vet who raised 6 sons by himself... or so I heard.

...forgot to mention, I am into my second week on the Vegas 5 30 day demo. I'm cutting my teeth, figuring things out.

I made a photo montage of me and the wife & kids with basic transitions and music, then output to a WMV file. Uploaded to my website and emailed the link to my dad. He was stoked. He is in PA, I'm in CO. My folks don't see us or the kids too often.

Me and my father had a falling out and havent spoken since October 23rd of 1995. He was so dissapointing. He was and im sure still is an alcoholic, mentally and physically abusive.

I didnt realize until after this big falling out we had that I was abused growing up. I just figured everyone was treated like that by their father. But after watching Oprah and Dr. Phil **smile** I figured it all out.. lol

Hey im trying to be good hearted about it. Be thankful if you and pops still have a good relationship.. Give your dad a hug for me.. ;) Just airing my laundry.. sorry guys..
