Fast rewind

I am trying to get the effect.. you see a scene and your like What was that and you see the scene reverse fast with all the lines and the sound then play again normal speed?

If you have access to a VCR and a camera that supports pass thru you could dump the footage onto VHS, set FCP for "capture now" and record yourself rewinding the VHS tape.

I exported to Quicktime then imported to I Movie, I iMovie they have a reverse fast option that works great

Variable Time in FCP does this really quick and easy, too. No need to export anything to anywhere.
