Here is an example of the fan noise for the Aputure 120D Mark II COB Light in a simulated situation.

Dunno, all sounds like good examples of how not to record audio. I’d be far more interested in hearing an actor being properly boomed with the mike near him or her perhaps a couple feet above the head and angled in with and without the light’s fan running. The light should be perhaps six feet away, or four feet but punching through a sheet of diffusion or silk. Such a test would tell me how the fan sounds under proper shooting conditions.

I found the 120d and 120dii to both be very quiet.

The Nanlight Forza 60, however, does have an audible fan. But not awful either. If you aren’t at 100% you can turn off the fan though. But i didn’t say that ;)

I have recorded sound on set (DPA 4018C on boom, SD 552 and 10T mixers) when Aputure 120's and 300's were being used. I do not think the Aputure lights are a problem. The worst noise offenders are other location sounds like AC. I did have a fan noise issue with a camera mounted Atomos Shogun, when sound recording a close up. Also, RED camera fans (not fanboys) are notoriously loud.

I've been using these for a while now without issues. The 300d ballast has a pretty loud fan but I use a long power cable to get it far from mics and it's fine. Been using it in a studio with soundproofing too.

The 120d is a non-issue.

The video is an example of how not to use a microphone for dialogue.

I have been looking forward to this! Just spent my reserve on another light though. But the 300d mkii is the light of lights for me at this time. Really impressed with it at NAB, and even the 120D mk one come in handy, so, this would just be heaven.
