Family Guy

[Robbie Comeau]

Just started getting into this hilarious show.

Love the flashbacks, and the "that reminds me of the time when...(insert hilarious flashback here)".

My question is:

Who remembers when Peter and Lois go on a vacation that Brian bought them, and there making a joke about Titanic and Peter goes, that wasn't Kate Winslet, that was (something Hoffman.)

He was referring to someone else, and I totally forget who. Who's Hoffman?

At first I thought it was the creator for family guy, but that's Seth.

Is Hoffman the writer?

Enlighten me.

Seems vaguely familiar. I think he was referring to Philip Seymour Hoffman, the actor.

The actor is Seth Macfarlen who plays the voice of Peter though.

Ha, googles results:

"Family Guy" Stewie Kills Lois (2007)
Peter Griffin: That was a guy. That was Philip Seymour Hoffman. ... Stewie Kills Louis is the 100th episode of "Family Guy" and overall it's pretty good. ...

Don't ever watch the South Park episode that makes fun of Family Guy... it's kryptonite to the comedy of family guy. I can't get that SP out of my head every time I try to enjoy FG.

Yeah, I saw this too and it stuck with me for a while. I'd spend the next week watching Family Guy re-runs and contemplate "Yeah, I'm laughing out loud here but maybe it's not that funny." Made me second guess it. But, the hilarity of The Family Guy prevailed. Friggin' love that show.

I like family guy but to me it's more of a show with funny jokes than a funny show. There are alot of great jokes but I can never remember the episode it is from. There isn't really a memorable episode.

Cannot be streamed Rick!

But I saw that first clip on TV haha..

Yeah, but you have to understand the point of that episode. They were only making fun of Family Guy and pointing out what they didn't like about it because too many Comedy Central execs kept telling them to try and be more like Family Guy. Imagine what that would do to you.
