Take a look at this, especially the pictures:

Seem familiar? That's right. This scumbag took some grabs from our very own Barry Green's DVD and attached them to a camera that doesn't even have 24p capability. :shocked: :shocked: :shocked:

The guy is using images directly linked to the DVXuser website. Check the properties.

Jarred, John, or Barry, delete these image from your server and replace them (same file names) with an image of something stupid. Maybe of an idiot with the words "I should not lie and steal." Let's teach this guy a lesson! Get Pookie to make something funny. :)

Wait, here is a further description of the camera:

"This camera DOES NOT have a firewire port, it was made before Firewire was commonplace."

Is that for real? 3CCD cam with no firwire port? Man that buyer got played big time!

Anyone who considers buying a dvx on ebay (or anything else it seems) should be forewarned. The seller has a 100% rating, but only over 26 transactions.
 
Do you feel alienated Barry? I was going to buy A dvx100a from ebay, but not now... RUUUUUUUUUUUUUSH what is your contact infooooooooooooooo!
 
By the way, what the hell is that thing? It looks like something that crawled out of manufacturing without grabbing it's parts on the way out. I think I'll be that thing for holloween. LOL
 
I found out about this while the auction was going on. I wrote to the seller and expressed that it was dishonest to represent the EZ1 as having 24P (because it doesn't) and further that I would very much appreciate it if he'd remove the pictures which were clearly used without permission and were being used to perpetuate a fraud.

But, you can imagine how much luck I had with the seller...

I just hope whoever the poor buyer is knew what they were getting, and wasn't deceived by this seller.

That is a Panasonic AG-EZ1. It was the very first DV camera from Panasonic, and was marketed against the original Sony VX1000. It made a very nice picture, but was seriously hampered by two major mistakes: no manual audio level control, and no firewire port.

But, Panasonic ended up making out okay on the deal -- they sold the innards to Canon, who repackaged it into a new body and called it the XL1!

Yes, this is the camera that invented "frame mode".

Really! I never heard about that. CCDs and all? Is it also the same as the GL/XM1?
