I need to add a scene to my student film where a giant bear falls in front of a girl. Any suggestions?

closest fabric you can find to fur.. stuff it with somthing to get the shape and weight you want and drop it right in front of the camera in an OTS or over the top center using a CU to MED shot on the girls reaction where the bear fur is out of focus and simply sell the imagery in thier heads. imho it would be much better to have a great effect thats not as epic as you originally wanted vs a poorly done attempt at the epic. shoot for both shots, and see if you can come up with something great for the wider shot where all is seen and if not youve always got a great sell with the other shot where no compositing is required.

Someone wrapped in padding and wearing a bear costume? Seriously, the fall is the easy part, the hard part is what the bear looks like once it's on the ground, if it's all one shot. Splitting this into two shots would make it even easier - drop a bear shaped thingy in fron of camera, cut to closer up shot of bear on ground.
