Fake Mace

Hey all, so I need a woman to mace a guy in a short for class. It would need to be aerosol type can that can have a solid stream (or if someone else has a better idea), but it needs to be full of water, or well something that wont actually hurt the actors eyes. Anyone have any ideas or done it before? Much appreciated.
 
You could find one of those mist sprayers that I see every now and again. It's just a small bottle full of water that you use to cool yourself off. You would have to modify it to shoot a jet, but if you just want a simply mist-like look that should do very well.
 
Most Police supply stores i.e. Galls (they have a website if your'e not near a store front) have inert training sprays that look like the real thing. They're made for training simulations, and they're usually made by the same compnay that makes the actual OC spray. That's the route I would go if you want it to look real.
 
Dude I just did this for my film! There's chick that sales plastic 10ml spray bottles on eBay. You'll have to search. The formula is a very small amount of powered milk and water. (Or you can add real milk) You want just enough to make the water cloudy and there you go. Mace.

did the bottle you get spray a full stream like an arousal can? I searched on ebay and only found the little pump action ones, i did however find the trainer ones mentioned previously and they are bout 9 dollars so how much did u end up paying for your bottles?
 
You can buy sailine solution in a spray can. Its for people with contact lenses and eye infections etc. This is basically, fake tears, so spraying it in someones face wont do any harm at al. If anything it will help their eyes.

Paid about $5 or so for 6. They're 10ml transparent plastic bottle. I tested the effect on myself. The spray is nice and can be seen on camera. The mist will hit the actor dead on like mace allow them to react on que. The mix is harmless. (Unless person is alergic to milky water). The water should only be slightly milky BTW.

Yeah, that's hot. In my scene the mace is very small, you can but with this you'd simply remove the label and spray paint the bottle.

yeah i think im really just going to end up going with Pale Riders way, seems easy enough and looks better, also is bout 3 dollars more so no biggie. Thanks everyone for the help though!
