Fake Flash frames in FCP??

Yo,

I'm trying to create the look of flash frames artificially in FCP but my results have been week.

Anyone had any luck building these and want to share?

flash frames as in quick/ramped flashes? I believe you can modify the white levels. I know that's how you can do it in premiere.

There's a free plugin for FCP. I think it's "Camera Flash". Google it, if that doesn't work check 2-pop.com for the link. It does a great job and it's free.

I layer two versions of the same clip directly over each other. One "normal", and one with high contrast and low saturation. Then, I spike the opacity of the normal cilp down so that the other clip shows through.

I use the effect essentials camera flash. Works really well for me. and its free.
