Fairy-Tale/Fantasy Music?

[brock2621]

I'm looking for some fantasy music in the tone of Harry Potter & Danny Elfman. I've looked at Dewolfe, 615, Sound Ideas, Digital Juice etc. I'm just not finding anything that really hits the spot. I would appreciate any help or direction!

Actually, even Myspace if anybody knows of anyone that makes this type of music...

There are lots of composers forums out there. Last fall I worked on a short as music supervisor in addition to my audio post duties. I went to a few sites and many of the forum members had links to their work. I also posted on three sites and received over 200 responses from composers - some of them with very reputable credits - willing to work on the short for a very small stipend. It just took a long time to weed through it all.

There is a composer that I've worked with whose style is very much what you're looking for. Take a look at his site and see if what he does is right for you. He scored most of the film in my sig.

Otherwise, ya, there's tons of composers here who can pull it off.
