fader ND good beyond 50mm??

UPDATE 1, 2, 3.
I decided to run some test and include some images so you guys can judge for yourself.
Here are my conclusions:

Genus Fader ND - good design but bad pretty much anything else. The image falls apart on anything beyond 50mm, that said though originally i looked into variable ND filters for a project that was suppose to be shot all wide (35mm and wider) and for that this filter would work very well as 50mm and wider it is indeed sharp.

Fader Filters Fader ND HD - bad design - the front wheel is thin and smaller than the back wheel so you will find yourself fishing for the wheel. Optics are consistently OK but not really that spectacular on 50mm and wider (here Genus Fader is actually a bit sharper).

Singht-Ray Vari ND - good design - wheels are large so easy to grab the front wheel in run&gun situation. Optics are very impressive (at least considering the failures of the other two tested faders). There is though quite significant sift towards red in the image. That said though because of sharpness of the image this is the filter i'm keeping.

any experience with Light Craft faders?
That is precisely the one that appears to get fuzzy for lenses longer than 85mm.
I don't have one, but there are many threads with pictures on this forum that had convinced me not to buy it.
Now I am looking to purchase a good ND filter myself. It is not an easy quest, and, apart from the steep price, that Heliopan is not in stock in the 77mm diameter (4weeks waiting before new stock)...

I use my FaderND up to 85mm, I have not used it past that. (and the lowest I have gone in 30mm) In that range, it has worked perfectly for me.

I'm looking for a new one too right now. The Heliopan looks sweet. Can anyone confirm that it's still sharp with focal lengths over 200mm? I'm using the first version oft the LCW Fader ND right now, but also not very happy with it...

Lightcraft Fader ND. Good for 50mm and 85mm?

Lightcraft Fader ND. Good for 50mm and 85mm?

I read that this LCW Fader ND Mark2 is not too great when shooting with telephoto lens. But if I'm on a budget (got a few priorities like a good audio system), and if I'm plan to only shoot with the fader nd up to 85mm is this a good option for the moment?
Thank you.

OK so so far i've tested Genus Fader ND and Fader ND HD. Genus ($220) is better design (easier way to reach the front glass) but image starts falling apart beyond 50mm. Fader ND HD ($330) is good up to about 120mm and passable up to 150mm but the design of the front ring is very bad (way too small to grab in a hurry). I'll be getting Singh-Ray and will post the results.

What's this $330 fader nd hd ? I thought fader nd was the lightcraft workshop that sells for around one hundred bucks.

pics would be much better than words, some people said faderND is great but its useless on telephotos

jambredz, would you mind posting some screen grabs of your LCW fader with 100-200 lens range?
base on my pics i's obvious Genus fader falls apart on anything longer than 50mm, i was wondering if LCW (being in the same price range) does the same.
