Well, I had several while working a gig in Germany two years ago. I haven't been able to find it here in the backwoods of America yet.

I didn't want to start a new thread for this but I just saw Prince Charles and Camilla on the news...wearing matching skirts.

The last blended Scotch I had was in 1986. Chevas Royal Salute. After I discovered single malts, there was no looking back.

It is a 1986 vintage and tastes GREAT

That sounds awesome, Blaine. I had a frozen pizza and a glass of Old Heaven Hill bourbon tonight. Not exactly on the same level.:undecided

That stuff if awesome! I love that.

On a side note... a buddy of mine is a really good brewer and he made something he calls F*ck Grapes Barley Wine. It's funny and tastey.:)

I'm pretty boring in that, when I find something I like, I tend to stick with it. I'm also not a brand loyalist unless they really impress me. I like heavy beers: stouts, porters, bocks, sharp ales, porters and nice Hefes in the summer. I've never been a fan of lagers.

I drink bourbon when I really want to tie one on. My favorite bourbon is called Old Heaven Hill. It has the distinction of not only being extremely full-flavored and smooth, but it's also ungodly cheap. It's a rare combination for something that's ages 8 years and has a beautiful caramel finish.

Horse, my man, I've been brewing beer myself since 1982. There is nothing quite as satisfying as brewing a great quaff. I started out the way everyone does, brewing from extracts and kits but moved on to mashing my own grains. Only then was I able to produce something that I was truly proud of. I've tried my hand at wine but the problem is it costs so much more and it is extremely difficult to produce something as good as you can buy. But brewing is something I believe God meant for man to do. I have made beers that have won in competition for the price of a ****ing Budmillercoors.

Tell your buddy, Brew on wise master, brew on.

ok.. everyone over to blaine's dig and lets raid his cabnet...

or get him to produce your next film so you can get tanked every night on the $$$$ stuff... then wrap party at Cllaghan's.. and we will get horse to dish out the kraft service on shoot days.

Definitely! I've started making mead and I'm hooked on it. There's nothing like a great-tasting booze that doesn't give you a hangover.
