EZFX Jib Crane

Anybody own or have used the EZFX Jib Crane? I had the company send me a demo CD-Rom and was pretty impressed with how it handled and the many accessories you can get for it. You can get a decent set up for under $2,000. It will be a little more for the extension arm and definitely more if you want the motorized pan/tilt by Varizoom. I might look into getting one these cranes later on this summer.

Re: EZFX Jib Crane

I have one. It's probably the nicest of the "budget" jib arms... the #1 feature for me is quick setup. I used to use a GlideCam CamCrane 100, which could take some nice shots, but the assembly time was significant. With the EZ/FX you show up, unfold it, and you're basically done. Great design. Both companies feature absolutely superb customer service as well.

Re: EZFX Jib Crane

Do you use the EZ handle on yours? What all fits in that bag? Can you fit some of the accessories in there or is it just for the arm and tripod legs?

Re: EZFX Jib Crane

The bag holds the jib arm, the EZ-Handle, and the monitor platform holder bracket. Tripod legs and barbell weights are separate.

Re: EZFX Jib Crane

Wow! That's what I am talking about! Now who makes that crane because it looks different from the EZFX crane?

Re: EZFX Jib Crane

Of course its look different, and MUCH BETTER TOO! ;D

If you are interesting about this jib (Microcrane Etoky Enson) write at

Etoky Enson Visual Machinery

etokyenson@yahoo.com

They will send back all the information about it, a complete PDF brochure with all the details.

I promise you that is a radical well made product in comparison with the basical design of the EZ´s, think the Etoky´s in the rango of a Losmandy Portajib Traveller. But with am affortable price for the same performance and feactures.

Re: EZFX Jib Crane

Heard the Cobra Crane is pretty good...just no pan. But it's only $395.

ANybody got this crane?

Re: EZFX Jib Crane

Like Brother Barry Green... I, too, have an EZ FX jib. Mine has the Varizoom remote-controlled head.

There is a cheaper remote head alternative with www.cameraturret.com.

I say the EZ FX jib is a solid performer for the price.

The 'Microcrane' shown above looks like a nice system, too. However, I do not believe it is "much better" than the EZ FX jib as JackB claims.

Perhaps, you say this because of how it breaks down for portability?

Anyhow, the EZ FX jib looks a bit sturdier to me and now offers a similar-styled pedestal support.

The price is comparable.
