EZ FX Jib - What do you think?

Hey, I haven't had any experience with the ezfx jib, or really any jib in general. I think that most professional jib operators would rather have a Jimmy jib lite, or a jimmy jib triangle. Those are a considerably larger investment though, and for the non-dedicated occasional jib operator, the ezfx would probably be excellent, especially if you add a motorized remote head.

I love the EZ/FX. Probably my favorite thing about it is the instant setup time. You can totally build it in like sixty seconds, and it's rugged as can be. I've got the EZ Handle too, but rarely use it, certainly not as much as I thought I would. EZ/FX customer support is incredible too -- they are really, really good.

I used to have a Glidecam Camcrane 200, and while I think the world of Glidecam customer support, there's no comparison between the two products -- the EZ/FX is just so superior (as it should be, since it costs like 2x or 3x as much!)

Barry,

Thanks for the feedback.

With your endorsement - I am sold.

I am going to get the Standar Jib, the FX Handle, and their tripod (since I don't think my Bogen can handle that much weight).

I will make the purchase tomorrow.

Chris
