external video quality

Hey ppl. I am using FCP5 on a powerbook g4. When i use the S-Video out of powerbook to television (Standard def 4:3) the sides of the piture on the television are wavey. Not much, just enough to be annoying. Anyone have a clue as to what could be causing this. Thanx
 
Not sure what you are really asking.

IF you are trying to monitor your Canvas window to an external monitor then you are doing it incorrectly... you need to be sending it back out FW thru a deck (if the monitor doesn't have FW capabilities) and then to the monitor's inputs.
