external video monitor

What is the system everyone uses to view external HD video from the timeline in FCP? I used to use firewire to my beater camera to a tv.. whats the new method?
 
That's ok... but not ideal for any type of proper color correcting situation.

Next step would be to get a calibratable monitor and then maybe a card like from Decklink or aja. I don't think Color will monitor over FW either.

i just picked up a 23" cinema display. do a search on "matrox mxo". basically it takes the signal from your mac and you see it on the cd as true hd. great cheap solution for color correcting. i bough my cd a few weeks back based on recommendations on dvxuser. the matrox is next.
