Trying to use my DVX as a middle-man for using my TV as an external monitor. I have DV to Firewire between my camera and computer and I have component video from camera to TV. What settings do I need in the camera and/or Vegas? Thanks.

You mean "composite" video?

Just click the PC monitor button above the preview window. You should then be good to go, assuming you've already set up your IEEE 1394 device for capture.

oh thanks, i'm sorry, i thought it was component. yellow, red, white? What should the camera be set to? VCR or camera? neither one seems to work. i know i'm missing something just not sure what.
