External Monitor

Both of those don't have the resolution I'd desire. Notice in the description it states "1440x234 resolution"...

Well, that's misleading. Devide the 1440 by 3, and you have the true resolution of 480x234. That sucks, and you won't be able to pull acurate focus.

I just picked up a Lilliput 7" (the 629 model) for just over $200, then I got a Tekkeon battery pack for $40, and I'm set. Resolution kicks arse.

and by the way... do you have a 35mm adapter? you don't really NEED an external with just the stock lens. If I didn't have the SGpro, I'd put my money elsewhere.

I want it more for focusing and my composition. Can i have a link to this MONITER you got? Vistek possible? Ill take a look as well

Do a search on ebay for "lilliput 7" and you get a bunch of results.

HERE'S the one I got, but some people prefer the non touch screen model which is the 619.

Just curious, why do you feel you need an external monitor?
The LCD on the DVX should be good enough for focus and composition.

Just my 2 cents but there is probably other gear you could get more use out of.

Hm maybe your right. I want it to look badass with my equipment.lol kidding, well kinda.

I want it so i have a larger image of what i am focusing on and for composition. So i guess it's not a must?

I would just use the DVX monitor and save up for a nice CRT where you can actually judge the color and exposure in addition to focus and composition. I find that my 7" monitor and battery make my DVX very unwieldy. They work great on a big broadcast cam, but you can actually watch the DVX torque as you move the monitor around on it from side to side.

Unless you're using a 35mm adapter, the DVX LCD should be enough. The wide depth of field it offers is rather forgiving when it comes to focus.

Screen Size: Diagonal 7" (16:9)

Display Resolution: 800 (H) x 480 (V)

Dot Resolution: 2400 x 480 = 1,152,000 (dots)

Those RGB's figure in there somewhere

but thats the Lilliput... for $185usd thats a lot of BANG!

its much better that your 100b's built in LCD. Its the best I could find for mine and I was willing to spend $1500.00. I just didnt need to for SD.
