So I have a t.v by my side to preview what I capture. My only problem is that I don't know how to make it play through the t.v? The image is showing up, but any time I pre-render the video, it opens up Windows Media player and plays it there. How do I get it to play through the t.v?

Edit: NM, my computer is just slow. Any tips on to get a better frame rate?

I just keep my camera attached to the computer via firewire - in the preferences you can set the playback to the camera. Then I have an s-video out from the camera to my tv. You might have to click on the External preview button for it to show up there.

As for speeding things up, it may help to know what version of vegas and the specs of your computer. Adding more memory and keeping your project files on a separate drive from the program drive is supposed to help.
