I really need to start testing my equipment sooner than I do. I can't seem to get my oktava 12 to pick up any sound on my 100B. I would put the mic into input 2, set the switch on the front to line for input 2, set both channels to input 2 and turn on the mic power to input 2. Is there another setting in the menu? I have a shoot tomorrow and having trouble with shock mount and the mic. Just not good.

An external mic would need a mic preamplifier to work as you have the camera set.
For a configuration with an external mic connected to INPUT 2 keep the INPUT 2 MIC/LINE switch set to MIC, but set the CH 1 SELECT and CH 2 SELECT set to INPUT 2. If the mic requires it, then also set the INPUT 2 +48V to ON.
