I'm using a lacie external drive, editing on /final cut Pro. I was taught to set my scratch disc before I start each editing session to be sure the project is saved on my drive. These are the steps -- log and capture to scratch discs. check video: x render: x are already on. Hit set. This brings up the dialog box showing available drives. I select my drive, select France Doc, Select the project folder (France 04). Hit Choose.
Here's my problem: when I get to the dialog box I select my drive, but the next one France doc can't be selected. Desktop folder is selected instead, then France 04. If I select choose, where will today's edit be saved? On the desktop? How can I get France doc to be available for selection? It's pale, and I'm stymied. I'm so not a computer person, so if you can help me, please explain as simply as possible. Thanks, P.
