My 30 days to buy the extended warranty are almost up. (2 left) Should I buy it? What about Mack? are they legit?

I was very recently in your shoes (yesterday). My conclusion was simply that for the money I spent on the camera, it's a good idea, even if only for the peace of mind.
The main advantage to the warranty, according to Rush at EVS, is enhanced resale value. Although I don't foresee selling the DVX, I went ahead and bought the 2-year pro video warranty, which, added to Panasonic's one year, gives me a total of three years of protection.
How good is the warranty if your camera needs servicing? I don't know. Seems hit-or-miss--you'll find both positive and negative testimonials on this and other forums. But since I bought the warranty, I do feel a sense of relief, like I made the right decision.
