Exporting with HD Footage?

When I select the print to tape option on Final Cut, it only sends the audio to the tape, not the video. The footage was shot on the HVX200. Is there any special settings I would have to do to print to tape the HD footage?
 
Trying to print to DV tape. I'm using a JVC DV/SVHS tape deck recorder. I think I found that in the settings it's set on 720P and the tape deck is 480.
 
I've not done a HD to SD conversion like that myself (I assume you're using firewire). So you might need to create a SD sequence, drop your HD stuff on there and render it out. Then do a print to tape from that. Again this is just speculation on my part though. For all of my HD stuff I go back out to HD, so it goes out nice and smooth. The only downconversion to SD I've done is for DVD stuff and I've let the software deal with that.

You'll either need a hardware downconverter like KONA or Decklinks cards, or do a software downconversion in FCP to DV before you can export to DV deck.
