Exporting to tape problem

I just finished editing a large project and have encountered a problem when I export to tape. The project was shot on 24p and I used the 24p preset within Pro 1.5, giving it a Timebase of 24 fps. Now the exported product flickers in over-exposed areas as well as a constant popping of the audio. Is there a solution for this? Or do I need to recapture the footage into a project with a 30fps timebase?

Easy Fix

I figured out an easy fix for the flicker and sound popping issues. First I exported the audio only as a .wav file. Then I exported the video only as an .avi with a 29.blah blah blah Timebase. Then imported both into a new project with the 29.whatever fps Timebase.

The flicker and sounds problems are gone. It is a little bit stroby at times but I can live with it. It looks good.
