Hi guys..i posted a similar prob in the technical section so i'll cut to the chase here.
what is the process to export to tape for broadcast with 24pa footage using CS3?
I edited on a 24p timeline and clicked "file>> export>> export to tape". It played fine on my tv when i hooked it up with the camera. delivered it to the station and they say it was giving strobing probs with audio and video.
I then got advised by David Jimerson to export as ntsc. " For broadcast, you'd simply export as 29.97 interlaced (NTSC).You shouldn't have a problem exporting from a 24p timeline as simple NTSC DV back to Mini-DV tape. There shouldn't be any audio issues."
However i dont see where it gives an option to export as NTSC when i export to tape.
So he suggested "export as DV-AVI to your computer, using NTSC (no 24p) as the template (4:3 or widescreen, whatever your project is). Play that file. If you don't see any issues, create a new Premiere NTSC project, use that clip in it, then export to tape from there."
I did that and the quality is reduced...like the background in some shots look like its "shivering"
below are 2 versions.
first is the 24pa edited on 24 timeline and exported to tape. plays fine on my tv through camera. problem at the station. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4o31JbFwaH8
2nd is daivd's suggestion of exporting to dv avi ect. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJnsWJCSAxE
i know this shouldnt be anything difficult. but its my first time doing this
Some guys here kindly are trying to help, but since u guys use PP thought i;d take a crack.
