Exporting To Quicktime Question (please help)

This is my first post, so please forgive me if its in the wrong place...

I've been looking around the forum for quite some time now and have noticed that a lot of you have quicktime movies that are wider (like 16x9 but maxed out) than usual. For example www.pinelakefilms.com, Disjecta uses a really wide quicktime to show his work. (his a busy guy so i didn't get a responce when I asked through email, but I understand). So maybe you folks can help me?

I just really want to know how to export or whatever it takes to make them look that way. Its very appealing to me.

By the way I use a DVX100a (just got it!) and I use it in letterbox mode, 24pa. Just in case. ;)

THANKS A LOT!

I do all my exports to Quicktime via Quicktime Pro.

I produce a lossless DV.avi from PremPro and open that in QT then export as a QT (mov).

The widescreen will come from your Pixel Aspect Ratio (PAR) that is in the original avi.
