Exporting To Flv??

How do I export to a Flash Movie File?

I usually just use QuickTime Pro. There is an option to export to flv.

So from FCP then Export then ...?

If your movie ends up in .avi, .mov, or .mpeg or any other common movie file types, just open it in QT pro (you have to have pro), then just go FILE> EXPORT> FLV.

K, got pro. I'm not seeing FLV. Maybe I need to update or something.

From FCP file>export>quicktime conversion>FLV in options menu

Yeah, there is no FLV option there either. Apparently I am missing a plug in some place. Choices under Quicktime Conversion are 3G, AIFF, FLC, IPod, Apple TV, IPhone, Quicktime Movie, AU, AVI Wave, DV Stream, Still Image, Image Sequence, iPhone (Cellular), MPEG-4

sounds like you don't have the flv component for QT. If you don't own flash then you probably don't have it.

I use the FCP flixexporter plugIn http://www.on2.com/index.php?399
Export using QT conversion, then you choose FLV...
Not as good as a "standalone" exporter, but good enough...

FlixExporter works out of the FCP timeline, does 2pass encoding for Flash8 and most of all supports alpha channel export - for my needs necessary.
If you don´t need this, standard is fine...
