Exporting to DV tape

Does anybody know how to export a project in VEGAS 6 to a DV tape? I'm having a private screening for my film and I don' t trust DVDs... in the past, I've had issues with them skipping.

In the Top Menu - Tools - Print Video to Tape. From there on out, it will walk you through the process.
 
I'm assuming you're trying to print to tape via firewire?

If so, you're selecting IEEE/ 1394 device (or camera if listed)?

and then it's greying out the 'next' button?
 
can you capture okay? This is really weird. If you device is recognized not sure why you can't proceed. What version of vegas 6 do have?
 
There is a bug in Vegas 6 which causes this (which I discovered to my embarrassment in front of clients one day). I think Ed Troxel had a workaround on his site -- www.jetdv.com.
 
I think there was a fix in the last version of Vegas 6, if I recall, which is why I asked for his version. Not 100% but I think an update may cure it. I know I had that problem at one time but have had so many builds on my machine, it's hard to remember what version did what sometimes ;)
