Exporting timecode information

I've just filmed a few interviews that were conducted in Korean. I need to capture the interviews and write them to DVD to be translated into English for editing. What's the best way to get the interviews to DVD so the timecode on the DVD matches the timecode of the original clip in FCP? Is there a way to write the timecode onto the DVD so it is displayed on the screen when it is viewed? Will the timecode on the DVD player match the timecode in FCP?

Also, what are the best settings to capture tapes for offline editing? (I am filming in Advanced 24p squeezed.)

Thanks!

Re: Exporting timecode information

Make sure your viewing the TC from the TAPE and not the TC from the SEQUENCE... unless the sequence is done and edited to final. Any change you make in that sequence will throw all that dvd time code to heck.

Don't worry about what it looks like on the DVD... with the TC running on the bottom you'll be able to tell which tape and where the source is.

50% Photo Jpeg... Dbl click your preset for Offline captures. Change the frame rate to 24 w/advanced pulldown removal and click the anamorphic button. Save it as 24PAAnaOffline and use it when needed.

Good luck,
