Exporting RAW gives me Gamma Shift

When I export my sequence or a small scene which is HDV 1080 24p...the footage has a gamma shift. My blacks are especially bright compared to what my viewer gives me in the timeline. I'm just going to Export > Quicktime Movie to go straight to the source format that I edited in without any re-compression or transcoding. Does anyone have an explanation or is this just QT making it look that way?

I'm assuming your viewing your footage in Quicktime after exporting? In which case, make sure you have enabled Final Cut Studio color compatibility, it's a check box at the bottom of the Quicktime preferences.
