Exporting Quicktime FCP HD

Everytime I export a quicktime movie there are black flashes in-between each cut. I've tried checking and unchecking the boxes "Recompress All Frames" and "Make Movie Self-Contained" but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Anyone know how to stop these??
 
Step through your cut in the timeline and make sure you don't have gaps. it easy to think if you've got them butted together but still have a gap that may not show up when playing at full speed.
 
yes. that is what I'm doing. doesn't seem to make any sense, and there are no gaps in my timeline....
