Exporting progressive footage as interlaced, possible bug?

Hi all just a quick one, I'm trying to export my project that i shot in 25fps progressive to an interlaced 29.97/30 fps interlaced h.264 blu ray setting so i can burn a blu ray and send it to the US to be viewed. I tried exporting it but when watching it on my tv (in the uk mind you) it has those horrible lines/combing teeth whenever there is movement. Would this not show up on a us tv? Or am I missing something? Sorry never used interlaced really and am a bit worried!

Which NLE or authoring system are you using?

Is it not possible to produce and submit a progressive disc with blu ray?
I can't recall if it's possible to do a Blu Ray disc in a progressive format. If it's not possible then I would imagine you could export interlaced as PSF.

The interlacing artefacts may be a result of the 25p to interlaced 29.97 conversion not being done correctly. It may be an idea to convert the material to 29.97 and check it for interlace artefacts then author the disc true progressive if supported or in as interlaced PSF.

It's been a few years since burning a DVD or Blu Ray just going from memory as I'm away from a computer to test.
