Exporting problems

I made a 17-18min project for school, and exported it as a plain .mov file. It played fine through Quicktime on my MacBook. But when I burnt it to DVD using iDVD's One Step DVD from Movie option, the final video on DVD was interlaced everytime there was a quick movement, etc. Any ideas?

Interlace is not really a problem if you play it on a TV, though?

SD TV is interlaced...
