I exported an OMF and sent the files to my guy and he replied with this:
"I haven't tried every omf you gave me, but so far none of
the relevant media files have shown up for me. There are audio files
in the media folders, but none of them have any time code embedded in
them. That's normally not a problem, since the omf has all that info,
but the regions in the session have different names than the audio
files in the folders. For example, the omf references files with
names like, "3D_03.WAV" or "RT FOREST.wav" and the files in the media
folder have names like "3ff.10b.22", so Pro Tools shows me blank space
for each file instead of an audio waveform."
Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong here? Also, I have nested sequences on my timeline, so I've
been going into each sequence separately and exporting to OMF. Is this an issue? Should I manually
put all the video and audio onto the same timeline? Thanks for any help!
