Exporting in MEG1 format???

i have to output a piece of video for an online London Gallery. They want it in either of the following formats: .mpeg .vob .wmv .m2v. I recently gave them an MPEG-4 and it wouldn't play correctly on the website. Now they tell me they need it in MPEG1 format including sound in MP3 or acc format (in the same file). This makes no sense to me and I don't see that option. Does anyone know how to do this?? I assume it's some sort of PAL-like thing??

Yes, you can do it in Compressor. In the "Setting" drop down, pick "DVD: MPEG-1" (MPEG-1 DVD 1.85Mbps) or under "New Default Setting" select "MPEG-1". Either one will get you to the same thing.

In the Inspector, set the video for the purpose of "Web". Play with the bit rate to pick the most appropriate quality to file size ratio. In the audio tab, enable it. You can play with the sample rate, number of channels and bit rate, depending on what kind of audio you are dealing with (voice, music, etc.). You can set it to 41.1 Khz, mono and under 192 Kbps, and get a good result for web.

The resulting file will be an MPEG-1 video file with an MP2 (precursor to MP3) "muxed" into one file. As far as I know, Compressor doesn't do MP3, but MP2 is very well supported and your client shouldn't have any issues.
