exporting in 1.5

whenever i try and export my latedt movie as an avi it seems to hang up on the render. it also hangs up if i try and render. it exported fine thru the windows media encoder. sometimes the time remaining comes up as negative numbers. help! the movie needs to be out today!

try moving your work area bar (that tan bar at the top of your timeline) around individual sections. preview render only parts of your film at a time, until your whole timeline is green, then export as dv avi

Edit: also after you've adjusted the bar, make sure you set in the export settings to only export the "work area bar" not "entire sequence"

is this a legal copy of PPRO?

anyway, sounds like you machine may be overheating on the renders if that when its hanging but it doesnt during previews or anything else.

when encoding to WM9 the negative numbers is definitely odd.

if this is a legal copy i would reinstall and then export the project from a fresh installation. also try deleting the rendered temporary preview files (audio and video)if you havent already that forces the program to rerender everything so it wont be hanging from some temp file assembly or anything.

i reinstalled, but it still wont render. what else can i do. and it exports as windows fine. im having trouble with avi

it seems to be this specific projuet...others export fine.

is there a way to cpoy the clips or something to a fresh project? its a show like mtv cribs....so it has some really complicated edits

could i possibly be the music?

well i got it to render...there was some stupid transition that was stopping it. now i have another problem which as happened before.the whole movie plays fine, but when i play the avi, the last maybe 7 seconds of audio cuts out. now what is the problem?

Is this a mixed audio track (audio worked on by a mixer and exported from say a program like Adobe Audition or ProTools) or did you make all of your audio transitions and edits in Premiere?

It's possible your audio is drifting and its all there, just off by seven seconds at the end of your movie because over time the video frame rate and audio rate gets further and further seperated. Check a part of your movie towards the end and make sure the soundfx and/or dialogue match to the picture.
