Exporting/Importing PNG Image Sequence

I'm going to export a project into a PNG image sequence, then import that to Photozoom Pro to uprez. So, two part question:

First, when exporting do you feel I should take out any fades/transitions until AFTER I've uprezzed and bring it back into Vegas ... then add the fades afterwards? I'm guessing I should, since I want to wait until afterwards to add the FX, etc. anyway.

Second, how do I import an image sequence back into Vegas? I'm looking through the import options, see PNG as one of them, but nothing about an image sequence. I'm hoping they'll import back in, still syncing to the audio that's in place.

I'd say export raw images...no FX or anything.

To re-import:

File | Import | Media, then hightlight the first image in the sequence and check the little box at the bottom of the dialog. Besure it recognizes all the images in the sequence (it will say 1 to whatever). If it doesn't, the filenames are probably screwed up.

Thanks for the tip on the import, and that's what I was figuring on the export. Just means that it'd be best to export the PNG image sequence in sections, then import back in those same sections ... to better line the clips up with the old footage so I can match the fades, etc.

Question though, when I import the PNG images back in, does it render it in as a clip (AVI, etc.) or are there litterally 24 individual frames per second (timeline is 23.976 / 24P) that I'll need to lock together? If they're individual, then I'll have a difficult time doing the fades wouldn't I, if the fade was previously taking the place over 90-100+ frames?

No problem reimporting them if they're in numbered sequence, because you then import as an image sequence, wherein it will appear to be a single clip, similar to an avi
