Exporting image sequence issuess...

I am trying to export a (approximately) 1min 33 sec clip from final cut as an image sequence of .bmp files. I did this last week with the same piece of footage that was only 10 seconds long with no problem. This longer length, though, won't convert. It keeps giving me the ole "file error: unknown file" message. I've tried asking it to convert to a different type of image file and I've also exported the clip as its own quicktime and then reimported into FCP it so it could stand alone in the timeline. No luck. Any thoughts? Thanks!
 
You're having a different problem, but I think the solution from the thread just a few down (exporting 720p stills) will do the trick. Open the clip(s) up using just Quicktime (not FCP) and use Quicktime's export option to do it. That should do the trick for you. Good luck.

Thanks VaricamLife, I'll try that. Turns out that if I direct it to put the finalized sequences on my computer's internal hard drive it'll do it, it just has a problem putting it on my external.. strange.
